Charitable Youth Nativity Play at Darnytsia: A Tradition That Unites and Supports Children

Every year in the lead-up to Christmas, Darnytsia hosts a special event—the traditional Ukrainian Nativity play (Vertep). 

This cherished custom has become an integral part of Darnytsia’s holiday season, helping to preserve Ukrainian cultural heritage, fostering a truly festive atmosphere, and bringing together colleagues, partners, and friends around shared values.

This year, in partnership with the Zagoriy Foundation, Darnytsia welcomed a charitable youth Nativity play organized by the “Klub Dobrodiyiv” charitable foundation. The vibrant performance by young artists beautifully reminded everyone of the importance of sincerity, tradition, and mutual support.

The primary focus of this event was its charitable mission. Employees and guests were invited to make donations, with all proceeds dedicated to supporting the development of the “Place of Strength”— a safe and creative space created by “Klub Dobrodiyiv” for teenagers, especially those in need of support, recovery, and renewed hope during wartime.

For Darnytsia, the Nativity play tradition is more than just a festive celebration. It is a meaningful act of unity — bringing people together to do good, support one another, and uphold Ukrainian identity. This event demonstrates that the true spirit of Christmas lives on in acts of kindness.
