“Darnitsa” received a European Food Safety Certificate

Darnitsa Pharmaceutical Company, a leading manufacturer of medicinal products in Ukraine, has passed the certification audit and received a certificate of compliance of food safety management systems with the requirements of the international standard ISO 22000:2018. 

The decision was made by the specialists of the Management Systems Certification Authority “EUROSTANDARDS CERTIFICATION”. The certificate for PrJSC “Darnitsa” was added to the Register of this body on April 27.

The food safety certification system is proposed by the World Health Organization and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. The ISO 22000 standard is recognized and used in the majority of developed countries by manufacturers of food products, packaging materials, logistics companies engaged in food distribution, etc.

The representatives of the company noted that for the pharmaceutical sector such certification means there is a guarantee of the appropriate level of medicines packaging safety and the production of non-medicinal products, such as biologically active food additives. 

“Certification of the food safety management system according to the ISO standard is an important step, as it opens up new opportunities for “Darnitsa” in expanding its product portfolio, in particular, for foreign markets, due to the recognition of compliance with the best international production practices,” emphasized Olha Kramarenko, the company’s director of quality control.
