Darnitsa Heightens the Focus on Digital Transformation
Darnitsa has determined digital transformation as one of the strategic business objectives and singled it out as a separate function. This area in the company has been headed by Andrii Romanenko. In recent years, Andrii has been managing the IT department and together with the team has implemented a number of strategic projects to create a hybrid infrastructure in Darnitsa and ensure the transition to electronic pharmaceutical document management.
As a result of the successful implementation of Darnitsa digitalization initiatives, Andrii Romanenko was acknowledged by experts of the magazine “Komputernoe Obozrenie” as the BEST CIO 2019 among pharmaceutical companies in Ukraine during the annual competition.
Dmytro Shymkiv, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Darnitsa Group: “Full digitalization of Darnitsa is one of our strategic objectives. It is closely linked to the achievement of another two - the transformation into an international brand and leadership in the production of generics. We have been moving towards the digital transformation since 2014. Together with the world leaders in the field of information technology, we have already implemented projects worth a total of UAH 88 million. This increased the efficiency of business processes and ensured the stability and adaptability of the company in the new reality.”
Roman Borodin has been invited to head the Information Technology Department of Darnitsa. He has experience in IT in multinational and leading Ukrainian companies, as well as in the public sector. Roman's main task is to further develop the digital ecosystem of Darnitsa to ensure innovative development.
“Darnitsa has already commenced the process of transformation, including with the aim of becoming a high-tech company of international level. In line with this strategy, information technology is the driver of business growth. For my part, I am most interested in joining the large-scale changes in the company, which will be an impetus for the entire Ukrainian pharmaceutical industry,” Roman Borodin commented on his appointment.
