“Last year was a test for the sincerity of intentions of the business community to support public initiatives and promote positive changes. Darnitsa passed this test successfully, because by responsible development we mean, first of all, systemic transformations. We carry out this activity from year to year and only in 2018-2020 we allocated UAH 50.3 million for these goals. Supporting health, education and culture are Darnitsa’s strategic priorities, to which steps aimed at addressing the effects of the pandemic were added.”
During the year, Darnitsa donated six lung ventilators and diagnostic equipment for detection of Covid-19 patients to healthcare facilities. With the company's assistance, a series of online conferences with foreign physicians was held to share experience in the treatment of patients in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Darnitsa doled out medicines for treatment of children with chronic systemic connective tissue diseases affected by the disaster in Prykarpattia and provided pharmaceutical kits to foster families and families in difficult straits.
With the implementation of the project for saving the St. Sophia’s Cathedral, Darnitsa joined the revival of traditions of Ukrainian art patrons of the past. Due to the innovative equipment installed in the cathedral and adjacent structures, the proper humidity level of the foundation and walls will be fully restored in two years and the monument will be preserved for the coming generations.
The company continues providing systemic support for the development of progressive education and creates opportunities for the European level of studying and teaching in Ukraine. Since 2015, the key partner of Darnitsa in this field has been the Ukrainian Catholic University, where Darnitsa has established and maintains a scholarship program
At the end of the year, Darnitsa initiated a charity project for raising funds for food and medicines for persons under care of “Zhyttieliub” Fund. The fundraising lasted for two months, Darnitsa multiplied all funds gathered on online platforms and transferred UAH 400,000 to “Zhyttieliub”.
