Darnitsa Resumes Online Tours of the Production Facilities for Everyone

Darnitsa Pharmaceutical Company produces 62 ampoules in one minute of a working day*. Everyone interested can see for themselves how it happens from January 28, because Darnitsa resumes online tours of the largest medicine production facilities in Ukraine.

The history of Darnitsa dates back to 1930, when the Kyiv branch of the Ukrainian Institute of Experimental Endocrinology was founded. Today, Darnitsa’s plant in the capital manufactures about 180 brands in 15 dosage forms, including tablets, capsules, creams, ointments, sprays and solutions.

Visits to the ampoule production unit are planned for the next online tours. In 2021, Darnitsa manufactured 181 million packs of medicines, almost 19 million of which were ampoules.

The ampoule production unit has the area of 11 thousand square meters, fitted with equipment from global manufacturers. Visitors will learn about special water purification systems that provide the required level of cleanliness. Everything happens automatically and is controlled with a touch panel: the process manager only launches the program with the desired formulation, and the operator loads the necessary components to the reactor access holes in the usual order. Ampoules are washed by automatic machines and sterilized in a tunnel at a temperature (just imagine!) of 350°C. Only after that their filling and sealing occurs. The filling and sealing machine is the heart of the ampoule production unit. Why? - Be sure to find out during the tour. Last year, more than 3,000 people joined Darnitsa’s online tours: 1,500 Ukrainians visited the tours via Facebook, more than 1,000 via ZOOM platform, and almost 700 via YouTube.
