#DarnitsaHelps: throughout 2021, “Darnitsa” has assisted more than UAH 20.5 million to more than 60 organizations
Throughout 2021, the pharmaceutical company “Darnitsa” provided assistance with money and medicines to more than 60 organizations, including charitable foundations, hospitals and military units. The total amount of the allowance amounted to over UAH 20.5 million. December is a month of winter holidays, generosity and kindness, so “Darnitsa” tells how to help others in order to inspire everyone to be charitable.
One of the organizations that “Darnitsa” supported this year was the fund “Tabletochki”, which helps children suffering from oncological diseases. “Darnitsa” employees contributed over UAH 50 thousand to the foundation`s mentees from their own salaries. Also, as part of its cooperation with “Tabletochki”, the company donated a month`s supply of medicines which is more than 1,500 packs to the Mykolaiv Regional Clinical Hospital.
The donation also went to SOS Children`s Villages Ukraine, a member organization of international federation SOS Children`s Villages International, which focuses on the prevention of orphanhood and enabling children who are deprived of parental care to be brought up in full-fledged families. In November, the “Darnitsa” team participated in the action “Giving Run”, with charitable donations contributing to the organization, and in addition donated medicine to the domestic first aid kits of family-type orphanages run by SOS Children`s Villages Ukraine.
"Darnitsa" annually supports the international charity movement Giving Tuesday, which inspires millions of people around the world to do good deeds.
This year within the frames of Giving Tuesday, the company transferred 50 thousand UAH to the Zagoriy Foundation`s account on the charity exchange dobro.ua for the All-Ukrainian Charity Association “Down Syndrome” and supported a fundraising campaign in favor of this organization in the Shopping Center River Mall. In response to the question about good deeds, the campaign participants received gifts, including antiseptic Darsept from “Darnitsa”. These funds will be used to support the Early Development Centre for children with Down syndrome in Kiev.
Meanwhile, until 15 December it was possible to get involved in another good deed together with “Darnitsa”. Only a general blood test had to be taken in the “Dniprolab” laboratory. The participants received Darsept antiseptic as a gift, and every 3 UAH from the order were transferred to association DonorUA.
Education is also one of the priorities in the charitable activity of “Darnitsa”. It is six years since the pharmaceutical company “Darnitsa” has been helping the Ukrainian Catholic University. As previously reported, the pharmaceutical company “Darnitsa” and Zagoriy Foundation had again provided financial support to UCU in the amount of UAH 1.5 million to support teaching activities and teachers` scholarships for 2022 at the UCU Charity Event on December 6.
“As part of its mission to help healthcare professionals and patients to improve the quality of life through science, innovation and accessibility to everyone, “Darnitsa” has a strong focus on charity. Supporting health, education and culture is a strategic priority for the company. Every year it is very important for us to expand our charitable activity and we are glad that we can help a lot of people” – says Andriy Obrizan, CEO of pharmaceutical company “Darnitsa”.
Helping your loved ones, compatriots and people in general is not only a good deed, but also a pleasant one. #DarnitsaHelps and encourages all Ukrainians to do the same!
