Darnytsia and Zagoriy Foundation Became Partners of the Charity Evening in Support of the Ukrainian Catholic University
Darnytsia Pharmaceutical Company and Zagoriy Foundation acted as partners of the Charity Evening in support of the Ukrainian Catholic University (UCU) and helped the educational institution for the amount of UAH 5.7 million.
Darnytsia and Zagoriy Foundation have been supporting UCU for the ninth year in a row.
The assistance included professorial scholarships, support for a Christian summer camp, and UCU activities.
The Charity Evening, held in Kyiv for the seventeenth time, was attended by business leaders, politicians, public and religious figures, scientists, and diplomats. They were united by a common goal – to support high quality education and talented UCU students.
Traditionally, the Charity Evening included a silent art auction, featuring over 50 art lots from 30 artists and about 10 well-known brands, as well as a charity lottery, in which 25 gifts from partners and embassies were raffled off.
Kateryna Zagoriy, a Director of the Board of Directors of Darnytsia Pharmaceutical Company, UCU senator, philanthropist, co-founder of the Zagoriy Foundation Family Bureau of Social Projects, held an auction at which a secret chest with valuable gifts from UCU and its benefactors was raffled off for 25 thousand US dollars, and funds were also raised for the summer semester at the university.
Thanks to the generous contributions of donors, 32 million UAH were raised.
