Darnytsia at EnergoTech Conference: A Systematic Approach to Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Development
Darnytsia Pharmaceutical Company presented its approaches to energy management and sustainable development at the EnergoTech conference. The company’s Technical Director, Ihor Perepelytsia, shared his experience in implementing modern technologies, improving energy efficiency, and motivating employees as part of Darnytsia’s comprehensive strategy.
During his speech, Ihor Perepelytsia spoke about Darnytsia’s achievements over its more than 95-year history, highlighting the implementation of World Class Manufacturing principles, which include optimizing production processes, improving product quality, and reducing costs.
“Leadership, responsibility at all management levels, and teamwork are the key to successfully achieving objectives and developing the company in a changing market,” he noted.
The company actively implements energy efficiency projects. From 2020 to 2025 alone, 20 successful projects were implemented with an average payback period of one year, enabling a significant reduction in energy costs and improving environmental metrics.
As a result, Darnytsia saved 23 thousand m³ of water (equivalent to 9 Olympic swimming pools), 544 MWh of electricity—enough to power 25,000 laptops for a month, and 396 thousand m³ of natural gas—equal to 4 million km of travel by a gas-powered car.
The company pays special attention to adopting artificial intelligence technologies for monitoring and managing energy consumption. These systems automatically analyze data, detect deviations, and signal anomalies, enabling prompt responses and cost reductions.
Ihor Perepelytsia also emphasized the importance of motivating employees for successful project delivery.
“Proper motivation and team training help foster a corporate culture focused on innovation and sustainable development,” he said.
“We see our responsibility not only to the environment and society but also to the future. Every energy efficiency or innovative technology project is a contribution to sustainable and safe living. For us, a systematic and comprehensive approach is the key for Darnytsia to continue developing and creating benefits for all stakeholders,” Ihor Perepelytsia added.
