Darnytsia Showcases Artificial Intelligence Potential in Healthcare at Get Business Festival 2024
As a leader in digital transformation in Ukraine's pharmaceutical market, Darnytsia took part in the major event, Get Business Festival 2024.
The event brought together over 90 entrepreneurs, including experts in marketing, digital, PR, digital technologies, e-commerce, and finance.
Darnytsia’s Digital Transformation Director, Volodymyr Krasotin, participated in a panel discussion where participants explored how artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping our reality today.
He focused on the potential of AI in healthcare, highlighting how this field is currently one of the most impacted by the technology.
AI can significantly enhance medical practice in numerous areas, such as diagnostics. For instance, AI can analyse medical images, including X-rays, MRIs, or CT scans, with remarkable accuracy, identifying pathologies that may not be apparent to the human eye.
Moreover, AI can rapidly process vast volumes of medical data, such as laboratory results and patient records, to extract critical insights for physicians.
Machine learning algorithms can predict the progression of diseases, aiding in preventive measures and early treatment.
AI can also provide basic medical consultations or assist patients in adhering to treatment plans under a doctor’s guidance.
Additionally, AI is capable of automating administrative tasks, freeing up physicians’ time for patient interaction. Currently, doctors spend considerable time on technical tasks, such as filling out medical records and other necessary documentation. Instead, this time could be better spent directly with patients, improving diagnosis and treatment.
"Of course, AI cannot fully replace doctors, nor is that its purpose. AI should be used to enhance the quality of medical services. At Darnytsia, we are working to ensure that AI is utilised as effectively and widely as possible. Were it not for the full-scale war, practical use cases of AI in healthcare and other fields in Ukraine would have emerged within 1-3 years. However, given the war, it is difficult to predict when AI will operate at full capacity," said Volodymyr Krasotin, Digital Transformation Director at Darnytsia Pharmaceutical Company.
