Darnytsia’s Production Visited by Participants of the Green Chemistry Accelerator: Ukrainian Pharma Leader Demonstrates International Eco-Standards in Practice
Darnytsia Pharmaceutical Company opened its production facilities to participants of the Green Chemistry Accelerator (the Accelerator)—an international program supporting startups in the field of green chemistry, implemented within the framework of the UNIDO-GEF project “Global Programme on Innovation and Networks in Green Chemistry.”
The delegation that visited Darnytsia’s production included students, scientists, lecturers, and innovators from various regions of Ukraine who are eager to implement ecological solutions in industry.
The visit to Darnytsia became an important part of the educational component of the Accelerator. Its goal was to introduce participants to real production processes, modern technologies, and sustainable approaches used in large businesses.
During the tour, guests saw how a modern pharmaceutical production is organized, how the principles of sustainable development are implemented in practice, and had the opportunity to communicate with company specialists about the potential for innovation in the real sector.
Participants paid special attention to the environmental standards that Darnytsia adheres to. All production processes at the company are built in accordance with international requirements—the same as at leading pharmaceutical enterprises in Europe.
Darnytsia’s environmental management system is certified according to international standards, and the implemented energy-efficient technologies and environmentally safe solutions correspond to the best practices of the global pharmaceutical industry. This confirms that Ukrainian business can be on par with international leaders in matters of environmental responsibility.
“For innovators, it is very important to see how real business works—this helps them better understand the challenges and needs of industry, adapt their ideas to real conditions, and create practical solutions. The openness of companies like Darnytsia to dialogue and experience sharing is a unique opportunity for Accelerator participants to gain new knowledge, establish contacts, and see whether their developments can ‘fit’ into real production processes. This motivates and gives an understanding of where to move next,” emphasized Olena Tabachuk, Program Manager of the Green Chemistry Accelerator.
