DarVidznaka award: vote for heroic stories of pharmacists

Almost 400 stories have taken part in the first round of the “DarVidznaka 2022”, the Pharmaceutical Company Darnitsa’s award. The jury has chosen the best 34 stories of pharmacists who showed courage during the war. The well-known TV presenter Katya Osadcha became one of the award ambassadors and symbolically on Pharmacist’s Day on September 17 announced on her Instagram page the launch of a large popular vote for the best stories that would receive awards. Now everything depends on you only – visit the website, get inspired and vote.

These stories from Kyiv are about the people who on the first day of a full-scale war walk 4 hours to work in order to open the pharmacy after all, and then live in the subway near work. These stories from Kharkiv are about the volunteer initiative “The pharmacy is coming to you” of heroic Olga, who delivered medicines to the villages of the occupied Kharkiv region. These stories from Chernihiv are about Julia, the pharmacist who lived and slept in the basement of the pharmacy, very often without light, water and heat, but she opened the pharmacy on time and personally went to closed pharmacies to collect medicines critically needed for people. These stories from Kherson are about how not to be afraid to open a pharmacy in the occupied territory, even in the face of direct threats from the aggressors, because helping people is above all else. Pharmacy is a mission of mercy and compassion for one's neighbour, so these people opened pharmacies under fire and to the stains of sirens, so that everyone could get the medicine they needed. This is our pharmaceutical frontline.

Remember that you can vote for only one hero in each of the five nominations: “For Courage”, “For Service to the Health of the Nation”, “For selflessness”, “For rescue”, “For humanity”. Five leaders in each of the nominations will be awarded with prizes of UAH 30,000 each.

Voting will continue up to and including October 8, then the jury will choose the winners and announce the results of the competition. We remind you that this year’s jury included: Kateryna Hlazkova, Executive Director of the Union of Ukrainian Entrepreneurs, Antonina Osadcha, Head of the specialized business media for pharmaceutical and medical professionals “The Pharma Media”, and Ihor Nykyforchyn, Medical Director of Pharmaceutical Company Darnitsa.
