The team of "Darnitsa" joined the "Giving run"

35 employees of the pharmaceutical company "Darnitsa" joined the charity event "Giving Run" on November 27-28. Dmytro Shymkiv, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Darnitsa Group, also joined the run. Funds from charitable contributions are transferred to SOS Children's Towns. This is a charitable non-governmental organization working to prevent orphanhood in Ukraine, to develop family forms of education for children deprived of parental care and to support young people who are out of care. In November, the Darnitsa company also donated medicines for first-aid kits for family-type orphanages under the patronage of SOS Children's Towns.

Every year at the end of November, the Kind Challenge charity platform and the Zagoriy Foundation organize a Giving Run as part of the Giving Tuesday global campaign. This time we collected funds for 45 Ukrainian charitable foundations and public organizations.

The current giving run, timed to coincide with the world movement Giving Tuesday, took place in the format of an immersive theater - a street performance when participants experience a certain informational and aesthetic experience. From anywhere in the world, you could join one of the 5 help stories and get an audio guide to the selected distance. For those who joined the race in Kyiv, an interactive route was waiting for them, depending on the chosen topic of assistance. There was also a launch site with a photo zone in Kyiv. This year, the participants received special medals-made of bread. Bread medals could be symbolically broken and shared this extraordinary experience of a good deed with loved ones.

Every year, Giving Tuesday takes place after Thanksgiving in more than 150 countries. Millions of participants join it - from large corporations to non-profit organizations and individual philanthropists. The goal of the movement is to make good deeds a useful habit of Ukrainians: to unite all people who are engaged in charity in any form, and inspire others to join.

 «It is important for the pharmaceutical company "Darnitsa" to participate in charity projects. The company directs from 9% to 15% of gross profit to expand the availability of treatment. We provide medicines for military personnel, low-income citizens and those in crisis situations. We are very proud that employees participate in our social initiatives. For example, there is a program to help cancer-stricken children-wards of the "Tabletochki" foundation, during which employees transfer contributions from salaries. In 2021, more than 50 thousand UAH have already been transferred.
