Under the Microscope: Darnitsa Launches ZOOM Excursions to the Manufacturing Site

An innovative project of online excursions to the manufacturing site of Darnitsa Pharmaceutical Company using ZOOM platform will be launched in August.

Darnitsa updates the format of the excursion program to meet the demands of the times. Participants will be able to see with their own eyes in real time the largest plant of medicines in Ukraine and at the same time adhere to social distancing, eliminating any risks and waste of time on the trip.

During the tour of Darnitsa one will be able to see how the ampoules are sealed and their tightness is controlled. The guide will tell about the peculiarities of the production, show special areas - "clean rooms" and explain what water may be used for medicinal products.

“We started regular tours of our manufacturing site last fall. During this time, Darnitsa has been visited by more than 500 people and we had a queue for excursions for six months in advance. Therefore, when we had to suspend the project due to the introduction of the quarantine, we began to feel the need to communicate with our guests - pupils and students, physicians and pharmacists, and everyone who is interested in how medicines are produced. Darnitsa has a modern high-tech production facilities, automated processes, a number of operations are performed by robots. It's worth seeing once and being proud of Ukrainian pharmaceutical industry,” Andrii Obrizan, Darnitsa’s CEO, said.

All the benefits of the tour will be available to participants - in real time they can ask the guide questions in the chat and observe the production processes that were not available during the offline tour due to the limitations imposed by the peculiarities of the pharmaceutical production.

To get a link to the online streaming of Darnitsa, you need to  get registered on the web-site. In response to the registration, the user will receive a confirmation and a link to the broadcast. At a certain time, it is enough to join the live broadcast and watch the process of creating medicines online from anywhere in the world.

It is planned to hold the excursions once a week. Unlike the offline practice, the new format has no restrictions on the age of the participants and the size of the group
