Leading Ukrainian manufacturer has already handed gratuitously this year 236,000 packages of medicines needed by doctors and the military

In the first quarter of 2023 the pharmaceutical company “Darnytsia”, one of the permanent leaders in the market of medicinal products of Ukraine, as part of its philanthropic activities, handed 236,000 packages of drugs for a total amount of 13.7 million hryvnias over to various institutions for free.

In total, during the 14 months of the full-scale war, “Darnytsia” handed 2.5 million packages of medicines worth almost 220 million hryvnias over for charitable purposes. As the representatives of the company noted, the medicines were distributed among 165 recipients. The drugs were received by a number of medical institutions and military units across Ukraine, as well as charitable foundations that provide assistance to citizens and organizations, including those in the de-occupied territories. In addition, the company allocated 26 million hryvnias for implementing charitable projects.

“We are proud that in these times we have an opportunity to help Ukrainians - both ordinary citizens and defenders. The medicines we give to hospitals and charitable organizations are both a contribution to the common victory and an additional way to make medical care more accessible in wartime,” said Gurgen Karapetian, head of the hospital sales department of the Darnytsia pharmaceutical company.

“Darnytsia” has been helping Ukrainians with free medicine since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion. In particular, the company purchased and transferred 10,000 packages of the hemostatic drug Celox for the needs of the Armed Forces, and also set up production of potassium iodide, which is used for radiation protection, and transferred almost 11 million doses of it to the state, which fully covers the country’s needs.
