When Choosing Medicines To Treat hypertension, Ukrainians Pay Attention To Their Efficiency And Price
When choosing medicines to treat a common disease such as hypertension, Ukrainians pay attention to their effectiveness and price.
Thus, 66% of Ukrainians are guided by their effectiveness when choosing such medical products. The country of medicines manufacture is not essential.
At the same time, 61% of respondents noted that they choose both Ukrainian and foreign medicines. 11% prefer medicines from Ukrainian manufacturers only, and 8% trust only foreign medicines.
The overwhelming majority of respondents (73%) state that they choose a drug based on its price.
These were the results of the study of the category of medicines for the treatment of arterial hypertension conducted by Factum Group Ukraine for Darnytsia Pharmaceutical Company.
The study involved women and men aged 25 to 70 years who had been taking medications to eliminate episodic manifestations of high blood pressure for the last 3 months.
The study covered the whole of Ukraine, except for the temporarily occupied territories, and was conducted in cities with a population of more than 50 thousand people.
"The majority of Ukrainians today choose medicines for the treatment of hypertension based on their effectiveness and price, not on the country of manufacture. This emphasizes the importance of ensuring high quality, efficacy and reasonable price of Darnytsia medical products to meet the expectations of patients," says Anastasiia Panina, Market and Consumer Research Manager of Darnytsia Pharmaceutical Company.
We remind that since February 25, 2025, Darnytsia has reduced the prices for the 20 most popular medicinal products by 30%.
