According to the definition of the National Institute of Health and Care Excellence (NICE), "post-COVID-19 syndrome" is the presence of symptoms of the disease even after 12 weeks from the moment of infection. "Post-COVID-19 syndrome" develops both in people with certain risk factors (high blood pressure, smoking, diabetes mellitus, obesity) and in people who had mild or moderate symptoms.
