"Darnitsa" tells how to overcome post-covid symptoms from the psycho-emotional system

Constant negative media messages, fear for oneself and relatives, and social distancing and other quarantine restrictions represent a threat to the person's psycho-emotional balance. These factors, combined with the symptoms of "post-covid syndrome" can seriously harm mental health. How to help this - especially for the special project of the pharmaceutical company "Darnitsa" postcovid.darnitsa.ua was told by the head of the Center for Respiratory Medicine and Allergology of the clinical hospital "Feofania", pulmonologist Svitlana Guk. .

«The COVID-19 pandemic is a stress that could not fail to affect our lives. The unknown nature of the disease and its consequences, social distancing and lockdown made us feel isolated and lonely. Under such conditions, it is quite natural that you feel stress, worry, grief and anxiety. And individual symptoms of the disease, such as shortness of breath, a feeling of lack of air and weakness, can help exacerbate the symptoms of a psychoemotional condition», – It is told by Svitlana Guk

The doctor also recommends that people make every effort to return to the usual rhythm of life: re-engage in their favorite hobbies, recover sleep, activate working communication.  In particular, it is very important to comply with "information hygiene": filter information coming from the media, and in general, it is recommended to view the news less often. Besides, it is necessary to communicate more often with your loved ones and cry out about the painful problems, so that negative emotions do not accrue and do not affect the mental balance.

The most important component of recovery after COVID-19 is self-control: if the psycho-emotional condition does not improve for at least 8-12 weeks, this is the ground for visiting a specialist.

According to a Gradus Research study by request of Darnitsa*, about 80% of Ukrainians experience side effects from COVID-19 after a significant time after recovery, and 12% of people with postcovid syndrome seek information about it online  The Darnitsa project launched in October 2021 postcovid.darnitsa.ua designed to satisfy this public request.

The platform contains scientific and sociological research data on the spread and symptoms of "long-term COVID", including those initiated by Darnitsa, and expert advice. Each recommendation is supported by evidence-based medicine***, and information about symptoms is constantly updated on a convenient interactive map.
