Darnytsia provides consistent support to service members, veterans, and their families
Darnytsia, a pharmaceutical company, has formally established its consistent support for service members, veterans, and their families by introducing the Veteran Support Policy. This policy covers mobilized individuals, war veterans, their families, and the families of fallen defenders of Ukraine.
This document is a logical continuation of practices implemented since 2022. As part of the "Our Strong Ones" initiative, the company fosters a supportive environment where military experience is not stigmatized, but rather welcomed with dignity, respect, and understanding.
"As an employer, it is our duty to ensure stability, care, and opportunities for everyone who is currently defending the country or has returned to civilian life. This is a systemic, long-term, and comprehensive commitment," says Olena Sokolova, Director of the People Operations Department.
Darnytsia supports not only veterans but also those currently serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In parallel with the corporate program, employees have initiated an internal volunteer movement that provides equipment and humanitarian aid.
Within the framework of the "Our Strong Ones" initiative, employees who go to defend Ukraine are guaranteed job and salary retention, receive equipment worth up to 75,000 UAH, top-tier medical insurance, as well as psychological and legal support. For veterans, an adapted onboarding program is provided, along with access to health resort treatment. Special attention is given to supporting the families of employees in the event of injury or death.
Every day at 9:00 a.m., the national anthem is played at Darnytsia, followed by a moment of silence — a sincere tribute to those who gave their lives in the Russian-Ukrainian war. The internal community "In Memory of Heroes" has become a space for honoring fallen colleagues and preserving their memory.
Darnytsia has also signed a memorandum of cooperation with Veteran Hub and jointly developed a Guide to Ethical Communication with Veterans. Furthermore, Darnytsia is a signatory of the Veteran-Friendly Business Principles — 12 key directions that shape the company’s corporate culture, services, and communications.
