Inspiring Care: How Darnytsia Transformed Caring for People into a Trusted Brand

On July 24–25, the annual professional conference HR Days 2025 took place in Kyiv, where Darnytsia pharmaceutical company’s People Director Olena Sokolova presented the case “From Statistics to Meaning: The Story of One HR Report.” The focus of her presentation was the transformation of a care report into a powerful tool for dialogue, trust, and the company’s HR brand.

Olena Sokolova shared a unique experience of creating an internal HR report that, in its structure and approach, resembles a sustainability report but has a single focus — the person. The goal of the report is to systematize wellbeing as part of the corporate strategy, to make it visible, tangible, and inspiring for the team. The document covered six key areas of wellbeing: emotional, physical, social, financial, professional wellbeing, and sense of purpose. Each area was presented through real cases, internal stories, data, results, and acknowledgments to the people who shape this culture in their teams every day.

A special emphasis in the case was placed on how the report became a platform for transparent communication and a foundation for future HR decisions. Darnytsia organized a month of internal communication: posts about each area of wellbeing, answers to questions, and engaging employees in discussions. The cycle concluded with the presentation of special awards, “Leader Who Inspires. Wellbeing Ecosystem,” to employee-ambassadors of each area.

“We wanted to summarize what has been done, create a space for gratitude, openness, and dialogue. The care report is not about activities, but about trust. About the fact that the wellbeing of the team is a shared cause. And everyone can be its creator,” Olena Sokolova emphasized in her speech.

The implementation of the report and the accompanying communication campaign has already shown noticeable results: the use of benefits increased by 37%, the team launched four new initiatives, and internal publications about wellbeing reached 76% engagement, gathering dozens of comments of gratitude and support. This once again proves: when care has a clear structure and is shaped together with people, it starts to work.

HR Days 2025 traditionally brought together the HR community of Ukraine, gathering more than 500 professionals from various industries to exchange experiences, cases, and ideas for transforming people management. Darnytsia thanks the event organizers for the opportunity to share practices that work — and inspire others.
